I want to add CSS or JavaScript so that it applies to only one guide. Can I customize one guide using CSS or adding code?

If you have LibGuides CMS, you can customize individual guides any way you want! There is a Custom JS/CSS option in each guide where you can add any CSS or JavaScript you'd like, and it will only affect that one guide.

If you have LibGuides, you cannot customize guides in this way. The only way to add CSS/JS is system-wide.

Okay, so for the folks who have LibGuides CMS, here's what you do:

  1. While editing your guide, go to Guide Look & Feel > Custom JS/CSS Code.Menu for finding Custom JS/CSS option
  2. Add the CSS or JavaScript you want in that box.
Make sure all CSS changes are between <style></style> tags.
Make sure all JavaScript code is between <script></script> tags, or that any calls to JavaScript files that live elsewhere have the </script> tag.

  3. Click Save
