Ah, the age-old question: which came first, the chicken or the... No wait, the other age-old question. :)

According to Slaven, our chief Springy and all-around expert, the intended pronounciation is Lib-as-in-Liberty. But you know, one definition of liberty (thanks to www.dictionary.reference.com) is:

"... freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions, etc.; power or right of doing, thinking, speaking, etc., according to choice."

So with that in mind, let's celebrate our liberty and say "LibGuides" in whatever way feels right!

Way back in 2011, we created badge ribbons and gave them out at ACRL and ALA Annual. It was a lot of fun & everyone seemed to love them! Folks chose their teams and wore their ribbons with pride.

What team are you on? ;)

In 2017 we have buttons, buttons people! Head to Booth 1121 at ACRL to get your button! You decide!
