Go to Admin Stuff > Groups (Link)

Note: You should NEVER need to make changes on the System Settings pages or the Look & Feel pages - all the changes you should need to make can be done on the Groups screen.

In the e-mail you received from Springshare, you were told the name of your group. Click on the icon next to your group name.

Note: Please respect your colleagues and do not change the settings for anyone else's groups.

On your group settings page, you'll notice that the 3 boxes that begin with Include the system-level... are unchecked.

Make sure these remain unchecked - this will keep your group settings separate from the system-wide settings.

Now for the fun part!

The group settings are very similar to your system-wide settings. However, you might notice that you don't have quite the same options for customizing your tabs & boxes. We're working to streamline this, but in the meantime:

  • To change your tab colors, your best bet is to check out our guide on creating custom tabs. This guide will also help you change the shape (rounded versus squared corners) of your tabs.

  • We've also got some tips & tricks for changing your boxes' color and shape here.

I've added my customizations - now what do I do?

  • Take a look at your group home page - go back to the group list & simply click on the name of your group.

  • Take a look at how guides in that group look. You can do this by creating a new guide and adding it to your sandbox group. If you'd like, you can copy some guides from your own LibGuides system.
