Answer

No statistics are collected:

  • When you're logged in to LibGuides - this includes:
    • When you're editing a guide
    • When you're looking at a guide in Preview mode
    • When you're looking at the public view of the guide
  • When you are logged out and looking at your guide in Preview mode

Command Bar with Preview link circled

In a nutshell, if you want to avoid statistics being collected when you're viewing your guide, make sure you're logged in or using Preview mode! :)

  1. Is it possible to IP filter our staff in LG so their machines won't be counted towards the number of hits?

  2. Hi, Robeen,

This isn't possible to do- but as long as your staff use the preview feature to look at their guides, then their stats won't be counted in the number of overall hits.
