Q

Is it possible to suppress a banner on a specific page?

We'd like to have a page display with a box or multiple boxes but no banner. Possible? Thanks!

Answer

Sure is possible! (Side note: I honestly didn't think it would be...but my testing proved me wrong. ;)

In order to hide the banner on just 1 page:

  • plain text editor tabClick edit text for any box on the page. In my testing, I chose the first box in the left hand column.
  • Click the Plain Text Editor tab at the top of the editing box.
  • Add this style code to that box:
    <style>
    #banner { display: none; }
    </style>
  • Click Save and Close.
The banner will now be hidden for that page. If you go to any other page in that guide, the banner will appear again, but remain hidden for that 1 page.

  1. This is very helpful, thank you. A question: we want to have a different banner for a specific guide. Essentially we want to substitute a new banner for our group banner, but only on one guide. Is this possible? I was going to try in the guide level CSS, but thought I would ask before spending a lot of time.

    Thank you kindly!

  2. Hi, Amanda!
    It's not possible to change the banner just for a single guide within a group. Your best bet would be to put the guide in question in a group of its own, if that's possible.

    There's no limit to the number of groups that you can have, if that helps. :)

    Best,
