how can I change a long url into a one word link?

I need to edit a hyperlink.

In LibGuides, there are a couple of ways to do this:

1. In a "Rich Text Box) (the most common box), type in whatever text you'd like to appear as the link, then highlight it. You'll see the "link" icon become live - you can then click on it, enter the full Link URL, and select whether you want the link to open in the same window or in a new window. In the example below, the word "Link" on the left will be what's visible to your visitors.

2. If you're using a "Links and Lists" or "Simple Web Links" box type, select "Add a new link". The "Link Title" is what will be visible to your site's visitors.
