* You must have an administrator-level account in your system to add Subject Categories

  • Head to the Dashboard
  • Select Admin Stuff -> Subject Categories
  • Click Add Subject Category

From there, you can enter new Subject Category names. You can also use this function to associate guide editors with particular Subject Categories, or select individual guides to associate with Subjects.

Note: A new subject category will not show up on your LibGuides Homepage until there is at least one published guide associated with the subject. In addition, it can take up to 24 hours to appear on your homepage, due to the fact that indexing of sites occurs on a nightly basis, not immediately.
