How do I turn on and off page and box level comments and profile boxes for the entire guide?

I don't want to enable/disable or show/hide for every single comment and profile box. How do I toggle them guide-wide?

  1. Does 'Toggle All Comments' literally mean switch each, or does it mean change the default? In other words, if I've already switched some off when I toggle, will those be switched back on?

I would really prefer that the default for this be "off"--it is extremely rare that I want comments on in a box, and it would be much easier to remember to turn them on for those few than to turn them off for everything else.

  2. Hi Meghan!

The comments toggle affects all comments, and you can either turn them all on with the Enable button, or all off, with the Disable button.

    Thanks for your comment!

  3. I agree with Meghan. I wish that we could make comments always default to no. We hardly ever want comments, and it would be much easier to toggle it on than always having to toggle them off. Yes, you can do it at a guide level, but we're always editing and adding new boxes and we have to toggle off every time.

  4. Hi Michelle!

Thanks for your vote, I've added it our tracking system as a possible enhancement feature and if enabled, you'll be notified!

Thanks again for taking the time to let us know your thoughts!

  5. I'm gonna chime in and go with Meghan and Michelle. A default of "no" would save us some time. Thanks!

  6. Noted!

Don't forget that if you're an Admin and it's best for your site, you can turn comments off altogether at ADMIN STUFF > System Settings. ;)
